One Day At A Time

I am becoming a "bad blogger", I find that the time elapsed between blog entries is becoming longer & longer. This is not necessarily a bad thing! Where shall I start...

We have just been living our day-to-day lives, work & home.

Dustin is having difficulity getting payment from the National's job that I have mentioned in the past. It has been very frustrating for us, as we purchased many new (large) items to do that job. Anyhow, hopefully the tables have turned, we received a phone call from the person who connected Dustin to this job & we should be getting payment within the next couple weeks. If we don't then we may have to venture into learning about liens. Time will tell.

As for me just doing my usual, work, lunch with friends, taking care of the house, you know all the things us ladies do on a regular basis. I haven't been feeling quite up to par lately so I have to admit I have slacked on the housework a bit & gotten to know the comfyness of our couch much more often. I am starting to feel better so hopefully things will get back to normal.

The animals are as usual keeping us entertained. We had to shave Kitty's back again a couple weeks ago, his hair just gets to matted to brush out. He also either had a cold or some allergy issues & was sneezing a zillion times a day. Needless to say it was not a fun week for him, poor Kitty. Scout is doing good! He is such a trooper with all the sleeping that goes on in our house, with us working different shifts. He is lazy when we are lazy & up when we are up. We haven't been going on walks as often with the cooler weather & the rain, but he never complains, just is ready to go when we are. We do make sure though since he is not getting as many walks that we have at least a couple doggie playdates thru the week, he actually gets more exercise with them then going on a walk.

This week I finally bought some mums to plant in the area I have under the tree in our front yard. I was waiting for them to go on sale, since they have been so expensive this year. I finally found them at Lowe's for $2.75 a piece!! I was hopeing for yellow & burgundy, but ended up with yellow & lavender. I will have to post a picture & if they grow like I plan a nice big mounding picture next year. I need to post pictures of my fall decor I have out (that I might add has been out forever, I put them out too early!)

We got some good news that we will be getting a new patio & sidewalk in our backyard! This is the 1st step to our backyard renovation we are planning to dive into next Spring.

Hope this finds everyone well!
