We are so excited to be apart of Lincoln's life and can't wait to watch him grow!

Spring is in Bloom
Now that Spring has sprung my flowers and bushes are growing like crazy!
The Japeneese maple, got hit by frost 2 years ago, but I think it is finally coming out of it.
More pics to come as I plant more flowers and as they get bigger and prettier thru the summer.
Life
I am trying to understand life and why things happen that are out of our control, but the more I try the more I don't understand.
Also, as I was talking to a parent this evening and I found myself saying "I just don't understand why so many kids have to be sick". I know it is a question that many people think, especially working in a pediactric hospital. It just doesn't make since!!!
On a much more exciting note, our close friends Mike and Champagne are going to be welcoming baby Lincoln into the world today (5/5/08). They were admitted last night and are schedule to be induced this morning (Monday morning). I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!! I think I have been living vicariously thru their pregnancy and now I can't wait to meet the little one. I will post later with pictures!

MTHFR
I added a link to a blog that is the life of a couple trying to conceive and have a family with the MTHFR mutation ( this women has the same thing I do). As I found and read their blog I felt like I was reading about my own life, with the exception of a few details of course. I thought this may give some of you some insight as to what we have been going thru and experiencing. To get the full story it would be best go to back to the beginning at read the whole thing. They now have a new blog of their 1 year old son. Miracles do happen!!
Scout Has Settled In
New pictures of Scout as promised! It was decided at the vet in Jan that he was 1 year old. So he is now 1 year and 4 months! We have had him since October and I can't imagine not having him in our house. We both LOVE him so much!! He has really been coming out of his shell over the last couple of months, he is no longer afraid of many of the things he was absolutly terrified of when he first came to our house. He now loves to hang out the window when we drive, goes into the garage on his own, even stays outside while the mower is running. We are so proud of him for trusting us and being so brave after having such a horrible puppyhood.
We're Keeping This One!
As mentioned before I ended up not liking the original new furniture we picked out once it was delivered. So I called and it was still within a month of delivery so we could still do an exchange. We went that very day and this is what we picked out. Much better than the black leather!!!

What To Do Next...
Sorry about the delay in blogs, I can't remember this password for my life!!! :)
Anyhow, we haven't been up to a whole lot. Dustin is fighting full blown allergies and not feeling well.
As most of you know by now we had our 3rd miscarriage on March 31. We are very sad about our situation and are trying to make a decision of what to do next. My OB wants me to see a Reproductive Endocronolgist, which is fine and I am glad they are wanting to get me further treatment. But here is the kicker, since I already know what I have and that it is 95% sure to be the problem, the only further treatment is to do Lovenox injections throughout the next pregnancy. Sounds simple right?!?! Well here is the kicker, the insurance won't pay for the injections or any other fertility treatments, which are extremly expensive. On a better note, the baby last time didn't even began to develope which could have nothing to do with the genetic mutation that I have. So we are thinking that we should give it one more shot before we jump into the expensive fertility treatments. I feel like I am being strong and positive about the whole situation, but I have to admit it is getting harder and harder for me to talk about it and to look at baby items in the stores. I just never thought that I would have an issues having a baby.
That is about it for now. I will post pictures of our new furniture (replacing the pictures of the last new furniture postings, b/c I didn't like the black) and of Scout soon!

New Furniture!
Yeah!!! Our new furniture arrived today for our family room! We have been looking since Christmas for a new wrap around. We didn't find one we liked so we ventured out to a set. Dustin spotted this at Nebraska Furniture, he seems to have an eye for furniture. He did a GREAT job picking out our dining room table & now this furniture too. We have lived in this house for 3 1/2 years & I have never known quite what to do with our family room. This is the beginning of new decorating. This is the new furniture. We plan to also paint, get pictures of us, family, & friends on the walls, & get curtains for all the windows. More pictures to come as we continuing decorating...
No more recliner, we now have a chair with an ottoman.
The Germs Have Come
We have been pretty lucky with not getting sick this winter. But the germs have reared their ugly heads. I started feeling bad Friday night at work with a stomach ache. It then lead to overall weakness & body aches. With no fever & not really getting sick I decided to tough it out & go to work Saturday night. I made it until about 1am & then I came home. I went straight to bed & slept until 1pm on Sunday. I wasn't feeling much better so I thought I should go to an urgent care to get flu tested, since it is rampet at the hospital lately. The flu test was negative, I was told I just have a virus. So back home I came & to the couch I went. I called in on Sunday night (which I hate doing). Slept about 3 hours thru the evening, then went to bed at midnight & slept until 11am this morning. I think I have gotten more sleep in the last 2 days then I typically get in a whole week!! Needless to say I have taken it easy today, but I am feeling better. I am finally able to eay something bedsides soup without getting a stomach ache!!
Dustin called a little bit ago from work & the stomach flu bug seems to be hitting him. Here we go with the sickness! Hopefully, it won't last too long for him.
An Evening At Our House
Our zoo of animals seems to be our entertainment these days. :)
These are some pictures of a typical evening at our house.
Not a great pic, but snuggling with Scout!
"Kitty do you want to play with me?"
"Get away from me you stupid dog!"
"Please Kitty!! I will play nice."
"See I will just lay here, just play with me!"
"Fine, I guess stretching is just as good."
